BASIC OVERVIEW
INTRODUCTION
It is envisaged that EMO will become a Medical Emergency Response, Training and Stand-by Service that will aim to cater for people who need it most in all areas of todays hectic lifestyle and circumstances.
EMO IS managed, operated and staffed by trained professionals who are experienced and qualified in their respective fields. Using the best in modern technology and machine development, EMO aims towards first class care to patients and beneficial knowledge to students.
EMO is still in early stages of development; therefore our prices aim to be very competitive with regard to the services provide, whilst not compromising the well being of the clients.
Services EMO provides:
Emergency Medical Response
EMO provides first class care to patients in ...emergency situations by providing trained paramedics and the best in latest technology to those that require assistance and attention.
This Rapid Response Vehicle will be available 24 hour a day, 365 days a year, and ONLY to the Helderberg community.
EMO aims to provide the Helderberg basin (private homes or business) with a Contract Cover. These covers will enable any person medical treatment.
Stand-by
Providing the customer with professionals at sporting events - be it a rugby or hockey event, horse riding or water sports, we aim to cater for all occasions.
Providing an RRV, Ambulance, boat and medical tent to ease the sports persons and spectators minds if an accident should occur. In regard to these four units, each one will have staff and hardware to stabilize a patient in any situation.
RRV - The RRV will have a one-person crew and all essential equipment will be provided.
Ambulance - this will carry a two-person crew and will be equipped with a stretcher, heart monitors, evacuation material, spinal immobilization equipment and many more essentials to provide the best on route care for the patient.
Aquatic Rescue Unit - Manned by a two person crew, the ARU will carry vital hardware for a water rescue with the crew having extensive knowledge of the geographical area around them. This will provide a faster reaction time and safer patient care to the person/people involved. The ARU will be linked to the RRV and the ambulance via a radio system to ensure the patient is fully stabilized and cared for when reaching the shore.
Medical Tent - Erectable anywhere, this station will be manned by a two person crew providing medical treatment for minor and more severe injuries for sports persons and spectators alike.
Medical Training Services
Emergency medical training is a vital part of todays society. Basic knowledge of procedure in an emergency situation can mean the difference between life and death to the injured or ill, it is an advantage to have access to this vital knowledge.
Catering for First Aid level one, two and three, CPR courses, SAMSA accredited courses, off-road first aid and various refresher courses when required; the courses aim to provide the learners the opportunity to assist correctly in a medical emergency that they may witness.

The Emergency Medical Response caters for household emergencies, Road Traffic Accidents, Emergencies in the Work Place and can arrange a transfer for a patient, from hospital to home or to another hospital.
Stand-bys can be held through out the Western Cape, from Langebaan to Plettenberg Bay and inland, providing much needed Medical support to the people involved in any sporting and recreation event.
Training will be offered to the clients and students at their premises or an alternative can be organised, thus providing a relaxing and enjoyable area to learn the life saving theoretical and practical skills. EMO does have a lecturing facility that can accommodate students.

A vital question that needs to be asked is, Why are these services needed in todays society?
In a perfect world and environment these would not be needed, but with the nature of the modern human activity, it is proving that the services are needed more and more everyday.
